HI,
1) Joomla 3.1 is safer then old 3.0
2) Use "Joomla RSS Feed Creator" http://foobla.com/joomla/obrss.html
which have lots of features connected with RSS feed also images/videos from K2 items etc.
Check also here: http://foobla.com/joomla/obrss/extends/k2.html

Probably there are few others extension which has similar feature on JED, check them also, but most of them work only with J2.5 or are commercial versions, sorry.

hi just checked, i have joomla 3.1

I have bought ultimate feed display the other week, not tried the one you have said about. I would have thought that the template would have this feature on it. at the moment, my rss feeds are here. http://www.in2town.co.uk/celebrities-in-the-news and then the actually output of my rss feeds are here http://www.in2town.co.uk/celebrities-in-the-news/feed and i wanted to then use this feed to put on a smaller site so i could have the first two items but with a picture on them.

Template can not generate RSS, only components does. And we don't create components anymore only modules and plugins.

Besides who uses RSS now, less then few percent of people, every wise webmaster knows why.

I talk about Joomla 3.1 upgrade because you wrote
i am using joomla 3.0
in first question.

I'm happy that you have current version.

what i am trying to understand is

i have my rss feed here http://www.in2town.co.uk/emmerdale/feed which i am using through the template which you can see here http://www.in2town.co.uk/emmerdale

the reason why i want to use the rss feed is so i can put the stories on another site i have, i want to be able to put some stories onto another site but have the picture there.

the site i am using is http://www.visit-great-yarmouth.in2town.co.uk/ as you can see under the title celebrity news i am bringing the text in from a rss feed but would like to also have the pictures showing
