the reason i ask this is, i asked someone to make some changes to my site www.in2town.co.uk and i have found this in my site to deal with the menu Module mod_icemegamenu, but when i do a speed test it seems this is slowing my site down as you can see here

http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cjCdDF/ ... town.co.uk

if you count down the report by 18 then you will see that it displays my site again, www.in2town.co.uk so it is displaying it twice, and the second one is slowing down my site by delaying things

should i be using this module or should i be using another one for my menu

The answer is No. Gavick does not use a module for the menu, the menu comes with the template is a built-in block in Gavern framework which is not separated like a module. So, the module you are talking about, is not a Gavick's module, it was installed yourselves.

hi thought it was strange. the developer guy must have included it and i do not want it but he no longer works on the site.

the trouble i have got is, i tried to get rid of the module which i can switch off, but, when i try and put the menu position up which comes with the template it is not showing in the right place.

i only have top menu1 and top menu2 positions whereas in the old template in 1.5 i had position main menu

i really want to get rid of this module as it is slowing my site down but not sure what i need to do to get the menu up that came with the template as there does not seem to be a mainmenu position, any help would be great

Hi,

Let me correct it, you don't want to use that menu module but the default mega menu, right? Just give me an admin account then I will take a look for you.

cheers i will send you via pm, i want to use the normal menu system and have the same drop down menu. the person who upgraded the site said that he could not get the normal menu system to work by having the drop down menus, he claims that when he tried to use the normal menu system it would not allow him to use the drop down menus.

many thanks for this
