mootools causing conflict - The World News II : Joomla 2.5

I purchased The World News II template about two months ago. I have now run into two major, unsolvable issues (well, that's what programmers are claiming).

Issue #1. It is preventing jquery.ui.tabs.js to load some of the data in tabs.

then click on Photos tab. Images do not load right away in IE9 or Chrome. I have somehow managed to make it work in Firefox. But that was just a bandaid solution.

Issue #2: I have to change wysiwyg editor. Apparently, mootools is preventing implementation of that as well.

Example: For this, you will need to create a login. When you go to add obituary page, there is a text editor which utilizes simple attributes. I have to change it to something like WP wysiwyg editor.

I need a resolution for this matter as soon as possible. I would be really thankful, if anyone out there who can help me.

Our templates and extensions are based on mootools library and normally, jquery doesn't go along well working together. I see that you are using a component that uses a huge amount of jquery files and it's not surprising that you might have problems with it.
Nevertheless, on TWN2 settings we provide the ability to disable mootools library on specific pages.
Go to template parameters > "Features > Mootools library on pages" and try disable on ItemID/Option. For example using "com_obituary".

You might also ask on this component developer if there any no conflict plugin that can be implemented.
