Problem with menu item returning blank page

I have been trying to fix a bug with my site for a while now with no luck. Here's the low down:

J2.5.3, trying to use FJ Related multi-category component. Menu item for this returns a blank page with only the code <style></style> in it as seen here: http://thebeacon.net/port-clinton

I have installed and re-installed everything, tried different templates, and I can't seem to get it to work properly. Apparently the author of the component has tested it and it should be functional on this version. I am using a Gavick WN2 template that is updated to the latest version.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to go from here to troubleshoot this?

Honestly i don't know this component... but i have tested on TWN2 J!2.5 and seams to work fine from my side. So it's not anything from the template.
Try disable SEF url's and clear joomla cache.

You're right! It is an issue with the core SEFs. Not sure where to go from here to troubleshoot how to fix this though.
