Using top area

Hi, i would like to know if it's possible to use the right area next to the logo on my site. For example, to set an image, banner...

To get extra image in place which you told, you have few options:
1) Add manually a new module position in template code
2) Use background image for #gkPageTop
3) Use other (new) template
