Long before Joomla! got the feature to add and manage tags, K2 component already had it. An author can add as many tags as they want to each K2 item.
Unlike to the default articles component, K2 has integrated (built-in) comment system is easy to use and requires little configuration. Comments feature can be enabled or disables, also can be protected by reCaptcha system – more about in following guide.
Many people ask us: “What to choose K2 or Joomla 3.x Standard Content” ? There’s really no right answer to this question, it depends what features you really need.
After installation of K2 component he is “empty” – it doesn’t contain any content. What may slightly disappoint some people – especially if you want to replace the standard articles those from K2. Fortunately component K2 is equipped with a button to import.
