Our new ecommerce templates starting from GK StoreFront also override some “availability” images which you may have seen on a product page in the VirtueMart component; they’ve overridden the default ones.

If you want to translate or just change them you have to use a Graphic Tool to edit the images, which you should find in this folder: templates\gk_TemplateName\images\vm\availability – if you check the QuickStart or template package.
On the other hand, this file: templates\gk_storefront\images\vm\vm2-sprite.png includes rating “stars” and “current stock status” – which you could see on the VM category view. Feel free to go ahead with small customizations.
