To fully maximize the potential you can get out of a GavickPro template, it is important to first read the template’s configuration manual. It is also important to inspect the four key pages located in each template we produce (these are also components of the demo content):
- module variations page
- module positions page
- header module page
- typography page
The Module Variations page contains module styles available in the template and associated with specific suffixes. All GavickPro templates provide support for the following suffixes:
- _menu – a standard suffix for modules containing a menu module
- _text – a standard suffix for modules displaying links and pop-ups
- clear – a suffix to remove the background, margins, frames and paddings of a default module style of the template
A default module style is achieved by not adding suffixes.
Other suffixes not listed here may be found associated with your template.
Note that in most of our new template releases we have stopped using suffixes which start with an underscore in its name (as in “_suffix”).
The Module positions page contains images along with module positions available for the template, and the template’s main blocks (which are stable). The majority of our templates offer positions from menu1 through to menu20 and tab1 through to tab20. The variety of menu and tab positions used to implement modules into the menu and the GK tab modules without requiring these modules to be repeated within the content of a Web page.
All GavickPro templates based upon the T3 framework have similar modules systems. Any differences are usually noticeable at the top and bottom of a page. The middle are of a page, however, usually looks the same (with the possible exception of changes to the breadcrumbs position).
The Header module page includes a detailed description of options to a specific template used when implementing an Image Show module. Each template has a unique style referring to a particular module which also makes the options unique within each template.
The Typography Page allows one to become acquainted with the typography available for a particular template. Most code elements are common among all of our T3 framework-based templates. Certain templates, however, do require additional elements; if that is the case for your template, such information can be found at the end of the article about typography for your chosen template.
