It’s high time for us to summarize our activities taken in the previous year. In short, it was a good year, especially because of the fact that we succeeded with opening a WordPress themes club after one year preparations. It was a great challenge for as as we had to prepare a framework for creating WP themes but we did it.
Below, there is a list of activities which took place in the year 2012:
Joomla!
- Migration of our templates from Joomla! 1.7 to 2.5 version,
- Beginning of works on GK5 series of our free extensions – we released Tabs GK5 and Social GK5,
- Release of our first free responsive template called “Music Free”,
- Support for Responsive Web Design starting from Fashion template,
- Migration of all our templates released in 2012 to Joomla! 3.0,
- Update all extensions to Joomla! 3.0,
- Release of the second free template called Meet Gavern for Joomla! 3.0,
- Support for free templates was moved to Github repository,
WordPress
- The beginning of WordPress Themes Club (preparation of our own framework for creating WP themes),
- Release of a free theme for WordPress – Meet GavernWP,
- Commencement of works on rewriting our Joomla! extensions to WordPress versions – just now they are available in the form of widgets delivered with a WP theme, however, they will be delievered separately in a standalone version.
Changes in GavickPro
- A new WebDeveloper joined our team – he shares responsibilities for the development of our WordPress theme section,
- Control system of our moderators improved – it has had an influence on their effectiveness and we do hope our Support is better, however, we are aware that there is still a lot to do in this area,
- Affiliate program implemented – now, you may gain profits by advertising our products,
- The work of our service was optimized – we focused on improving usability and the speed of our service, we purchased two new servers and incresed the Internet connection,
- Positioning company was changed – their actions are really promising,
- GavickPro a main sponsor of the first Joomla! Day in Poland,
- WordPress Days – WordCamp in Gdansk also supported by our company,
- In June, we moved in a new, modern office.
