A few days ago, the Google Weather API has been disabled. This API was used by our Weather modules and this change has a big influence on our modules. It causes that now these modules cannot load the weather.
Because of this fact, the following changes have been made:
- The Weather module for Joomla! 1.5 has been completely removed from our download – it is useless without Google Weather API and due to the fact that Joomla! 1.5 is officially no longer supported, we have no plans to rebuild this module.
- The Weather GK4 module for Joomla! 2.5 has been updated to support the Yahoo! Weather API only.
Additionally, we will release a new Weather GK5 module in next two months and this module will support new weather services like Wunderground. Probably, the weather services will be added as plugins for the module so it will be possible to add more weather services like these listed here.
