Developers from around the world are still create so many interesting projects using JavaScript capabilities, most recently, HTML 5, that I am not surprised that he is or can easily be made into a module or component for Joomla!.
I will say honestly that when I looked at the number of available extensions on JED and saw the number 7811 – I was and am still in shock. At this rate, in less than four months, I think we can finish up to 8,000 different kinds of extensions for Joomla!
One of my more interesting and recent findings was pdf.js – this script can be use to displaying PDF with HTML5 and JavaScript directly in the browser. If you want to see a demo of pdf.js, click on this link. The project is promising and gained, according to the authors, a large acceptance from the community. The authors want to be driven by the community under a BSD license and encourage everyone to participate in the work.
Another nice a small (1.6kb) project is Yepnope (Yepnope.js) – it is an asynchronous conditional resource loader which loads only the scripts that your users need. Is called a “resource loader” because it can work with both JavaScript and CSS.
