A new version of our WordPress framework, MeetGavernWP v. 1.11 and our updates to our other themes were all released in the past week; it’s safe to say that we’ve been rather busy! So why all the updates? It’s all due to the recent release of WordPress 4.0, which caused a few minor issues that needed to be addressed, though we also took the opportunity to add a few additional minor improvements to our themes. We’ll go into a bit more detail about these changes below:
The most important change in this update won’t be immediately noticeable, but it was certainly necessary. The template option’s save button has been modified, as the WordPress 4.0 update included some minor changes to the jQuery 1.11.1 library, which caused syntax errors in some selectors.
If you've updated your WordPress to version 4.0 and haven’t yet updated your GavickPro theme to the latest version, you'll likely have already noticed that this "save" button doesn't work. Once you’ve applied this update the issue will be resolved.

BuddyPress also released a small update, so we've checked and updated our social themes to support this new version of BuddyPress and the rtMedia plugin.
All quickstart packages are now updated to include the latest version of WP 4.0, so new theme downloads are already up to date.
As well as the “save” button issue in the MeetGavernWP framework, there are also many issues from our premium WordPress themes that have been addressed, including:

- Fixed news block issue that occurs when user uses post slugs (StoreBox)
- Removed unnecessary options (News2)
- Fixed fatal error that occurs when installing the theme without the quickstart (MusicState)
- Improvements with Child Themes (Events, Steakhouse)
- Added word-break option (Events)
- Improved content-none.php (Events)

The latest version of our free MeetGavernWP theme is available from our Github repository and our download section. We recommend that you create a full backup before performing any update.
