Dev Update #14

The time has come for the release of version 3.9/2.16 of our Gavick framework. This update fixes several problems, adds improvements, and introduces a new feature. In the template settings under the ‘Features’ tab there is a new option to specify Touch device image.

This touch device icon is to be used when adding a website shortcut to the home screen. By default, Mobile Safari creates a screenshot of the visible page, but with this feature you can easily replace this with your own image! Please note it is recommended to use square images in dimensions of 72x72px (at most).

Great changes have been made in front page detection in our templates. Our framework allows you to disable mainbody or other components of the front page. In this update we have optimized the code, resulting in performance changes — especially when using several languages on your site, resulting in several front pages.

eCommerce templates like Boutique, Bikestore, eSport, and Storebox have been fixed due to problems with special characters in the VirtueMart cart pop-up window.
