We could say that everyone who works in web pages production knows for sure the Firebug add-on for Firefox browser. It is in my opinion, and i’m sure for many of you, the best and most useful add-on that exists for this type of work.
Even recognizing the importance of Firebug, there are also other excellent alternatives and reliable solutions available in other browsers. More and more alternatives are beginning to emerge that begin to approach than is provided by Firebug. The latest I found was the Stylebot – Google Chrome add-on with similar functionality. It doesn’t have the same power and features that firebug have, even so it’s full of great potential.
This extension allows you to test changes to the CSS of a page and check for any changes that you might like to try. This option is extremely useful for those who develop web pages and need to verify these changes. Moreover, Stylebot features allows you to make changes on web pages inorder to put them more to your liking, with the ability to keep these changes permanent when accessing with your browser.
After installing Stylebot, it will be available in the address bar a new symbol Omnibar (CSS). By clicking on this symbol it opens a window where you are shown the properties that can change on the page. Choose an element of that page and the associated properties become available. Carry out the desired changes and they are automatically assumed. To revert to the original properties it need only press the reset button. If you wish to eliminate all changes on this page have the option Reset Page.
The options that are available on Stylebot allow you to place this add more to your liking. They can start by changing the shortcut used to invoke the edit CSS, search for styles that have already saved or export those styles.
A final option is available by giving the ability to sync the changes made to the CSS from multiple sites across different computers where you have configured the synchronization of Chrome.

Despite not being at the level that is provided in Firefox, Stylebot is well under way and shows what can be a great start to a great extent. Test it and will see that it is an excellent alternative.
