Another CAPCHA worked out

It has been worked out another type of CAPTCHA, in part, this means that almost every spam protection can be broken.

Stanford University was founded a tool capable of breaking CAPTCHA picture, which is to protect the site from falling on her machine. At the same university was founded also a tool for cheating sound test. After these discoveries owners of websites have thought that in that case a better solution would be use a NuCaptcha – security, in which to string is added to the animation.

Unfortunately, this test also was killed in a clash with the tool deCaptcha that arises at Stanford University. It turned out that the belief in the machine to read the inscriptions of images, in which characters move, was not difficult.

The discovery took place a few months ago, but researchers have given developers time NuCaptcha to improve system security.

Unfortunately, I think CAPTCHAs no longer serves its role: Test to be easy to pass to humans, but impossible for the computer. Simply, in many cases can not properly read what the letter or digit is in the picture. It is at a loss for ordinary users who are tired to read increasingly difficult words.

So I am surprised that the creators of Joomla 2.5 has not decided to use something more efficient and simpler for people. Captcha’s are annoying, but it’s necessary? I doubt.
