k2 can't save item images - 500 internal server error

I am unable to add an image to the image section of an item when I choose it. I click save and pop up 500 internal server error.

Hi,
please try reinstall K2 extension. But just in case do backup before.

After some time had this same problem. Reinstalling does not help.
