product search not working on k2

the product search works beautifully for vm but k2 products not able to search for. please advise

This is default Joomla! search form, if you want to index K2 items you need to install some external plugin.

hi,

the search button on the right hand side top corner below the cart is also not working. installed quickstart package and enabled also in the admin backend. dont understand why it is not working
