Image Show GK4 "Read More" LInk Issue

So I have 6 slide rotating in the Image Show GK4 Module. Problem is the URL I put in the LAST SLIDE is used on EVERY slide. Even if I set each slide individually...

Any Ideas?

Please try to reinstall the module. A common problem was fixed some time ago.

How do I reinstall the module? also if I reinstall it will I lose anything?

Hi

If You use reinstall and install again You will loose the settings for this module, so please try to overwrite the files via FTP first.

I am really a noobie at this...

So what files would I download and from where? Then just overwrite those files via FTp correct?

Hi

You need to download newest version of NSP module, unpack it and overwrite the files You have in /modules/mod_news_show_pro_gk4 (something like this, I do not remember exacly).

You've asked in mail how to do this. Please see the updates page for this template and You will see the list of files which has been changed. Than download the the template again and usinf FTP overwrite the files told in each version of update. If You have not made changes to the template You can overwrite the template leaving params.ini file only.

So I did just that and now I am recieviing NSP error?

That's because you don't have any files script running.
So the update was not very well succeeded

Please send me admin access and FTP access also.

You don't have anything to do, except setting the module configuration as you want.

It still doesnt work....

I even deleted a slide entirely and re-added it. The slide I readded worked until i moved it in the list OR changed ANY other slide, then it reverted back....

I have emailed support my login info, Is there anythign else I can do?

Hi

As i replied on your Ticket, the News Show Pro GK4 "read more" link were not displaying the article because by disabling mainbody on frontpage, the component will stay invisible, so it will not be open in other page. You need to have enable on any menu on frontpage some link to Joomla Component Content.
This is Joomla!1.6 feature that we can't turn around.

As you can see, it's working well now.
For example, i use "Articles » Category Blog" link on main menu (Home > Blog Layout) , but you can place it elsewere.
You can even publish on some "invisible" menu, publish on some module position available on templateDetails.xml file but not available on frontend file.

Yes it is working and was working for all the time. Unfortunately You haven;t seen the results. Please go to template settings and set "Show mainbody on frontpage" to enable.
