Am interested to find out more about the performance comparisons between mod_deflate and gzip.

I have two different hosts one of whom has it enables and the other doesn't but unsure as to how to best compare them.

Obviously server config etc makes a diff but would like some enlightenment if popssible

explodedk I understand why you responded the way you did but I'm asking here not there

Why?

Because I'm using Gavick Templates and I figure I won't get a response about Gavick templates on the Joomal forum

Hi

The problem is that is not strictly connected with the template but with joomla. Personaly I do not know anything about this two. I believe that on Joomla forum there will be couple of users already testing both and would like to shere their opinion.
