Is there a tutorial discussing how to migrate all the info from my virtuemart (client list,orders, etc) from my current installation to a new install of joomla 3 with new quickstart?

Hi,
we don't have such guide, because VM is not our product (extension).
but we have short guides how to migrate template (J2.5 -> 3.x) only.

But I saw that on market (J!ED) there are extensions which can help you with this migration, which is always painful in VM case :whistle:
Check: daycounts.com - component called VM Migrator Joomla 2.5/3 migrator especially designed for Virtuemart.
Few of my friends used them and they still have black hairs , not white, so it was worth.

well if I migrated my site to joomla 3.0, couldnt I just update my virtuemart to 3.0 also?

sure you can try, I wish you luck. VM forum is full of ...."after migration my all orders has gone..."
So there must be a reason why some developers created a migrator tool.
