Dear Guys,

I love the style of your templates, I' d like just to replace default social share button with these others:
http://kurtnoble.com/labs/rrssb/
I' ve already done it, adding them in a custom html module, loaded in k2 item using the {load position}.

PROBLEM:
My issue is that each button is associated to a specific URL in order to share K2 article, two example below:

FACEBOOK SHARE BUTTON https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php/xxx
TWITTER SHARE BUTTON https://twitter.com/share/xxx

As you might already thought, I need not a specific URL, but an URL pointing to the current page, the page that the user is visiting. I will associated this URL to each share button.

I' d really appreciate some help from you or some ideas on how to achieve my goal in the most effective way,

Best regards,

Roberto

Hi Roberto,,
it means that instead of flat code in Custom HTML,
you need use real Social module or plugin.
On official J!ED you will find tons of ready solution.

Dear Oscar,

My only problem is that URL associated to the social buttons. I should do something to make that URL dynamic, Such URL should change according to the page that a user is visiting (current page). Do You mean that there is no way to do that?

I know there are tons of plugin, but nothing really cool and responsive like those buttons for me. I have to tell you that someone as already built a joomla plugin using the share buttons I love:
http://extensions.joomla.org/browse/new ... ernational

I tried to install it, but how to put it in a K2 item under the title? It was built to work for joomla article, and it is not a module, it is just a plugin that once enabled it appear in joomla articles, but not k2 items.

Thanks in advanced to all will participate to help me with such issue,

Roberto

so You have to find plugin which works with K2 items also.
Don't be a child there are also those. We are selling templates, and we are not consultancy agency.
But don't cry and check: Bang2Joom Social Sharer Plugin

Roberto, thanks to your post and to your plugin suggestion "Techlineinfo Responsive Social Share", I have changed K2 social share buttons in my site to that one suggested by you that now have Joomla! and K2 full support!
Check it at the bottom of this K2 article on my site:
http://ciaoroma.ws/matrimoni/incredibile-cerimonia-simbolica-nella-costiera-amalfitana-tra-tatyana-aleksandr.html

To anybody found this post by a searching, it's also possible to change the "itemSocialSharing" K2 class with any social sharing plugin that you like, also if is not supported for K2, here in this article there is the procedure:
http://www.gmce.eu/joomla/item/48-pulsanti-social-di-k2-per-joomla.html
Ciao ;)

My last thought is ... don't use K2 if you really don't have to.
Articles in J3.4 have so many features and using K2 is waste of time and slow your website.

There are two exceptions:
1) You too lazy to install comment component
2) You need custom fields.

Thanks so much Oscar E,
but I had found K2 on your J! Fashion Template and learned to use it (I thought: GK team put it on the quick installation so must be better of J! standard articles  I'm a copy/paste guy, not a programmer)
So now I need to learn how to move any K2 items to J! items :geek:

There is a importer from default joomla articles to K2 items.
But in second way, I remember only one (commercial): http://extensions.joomla.org/profile/ex ... t-migrator

maybe there are more or maybe not.
But I know one thing even speeding those 19 euro may safe you lots of time in future.
