Hello,
I'm new at joomla. I downloaded the template Shop & Buy 3.3 version.
Once I installed it, there was no SHOP option on the website. I've realized there was no virtue mart on installation package, so I had to download virtue mart and I've already installed it. But now de shop option doesn't look like the demo... Here an image of how it looks likes: http://www.hankip.com.pe/VISTA1.png
It's all messed up.

How do i make the quickstart installation look like the demo? I can't even make the prices show up on the main page...
Image of how it looks like: http://www.hankip.com.pe/VISTA2.png

Thank you very much!
I'll wait for an answer =)

Currently VM for Joomla 3.x is in beta state which we don't support. Use 2.x branch instead.
Also - start with quickstart package - it is a completely joomla installation package which also implements all the settings and sample data (install it as you would install traditional Joomla package).

p.s.
I suggest to use HikaShop instead is much better than VM.
You can use free (starter) version or buy extended -> use discount coupon code: ________ (-20%)

if you plan to sell just few products you can also use: J2Store.

But why my website doesn't look like the demo?? I thought once I installed the quick start package the website would be like the demo, and it isn't.
The problem is that I installed the beta?? If I installed the 2.x version, with de virtue mart for that version my website will be Ok??

Please Help!

Ok! Thank you, I'm trying again but with the 2.x version of the template... I hope this time it will work and looks like the demo.
One question? With is easier, joomla or wordpress?

Thank you very much

Using QuickStart with Joomla 2.5 - it allows you have VM installed.

There is not good comparison.
Those are two different systems, WP is more for blogs and simple websites also small e-commerce.
Joomla give you more powerful environment, where you can control where to put different modules etc. without installing additional plug-ins or using hacks.
For both there are many books (e-books), online guides, video tutorials etc.

I must admin that Wordpress has kickass documentation online and if you know php well - then doing any customisation is quite easy. But you lack of php knowledge, and you plan only to use backend or sometimes do some css changes - then there is no difference between this two. Its just that Wordpress is designed OOTB to be better blog and less complicated structures, and with more complicated sites Joomla OOTB works better. But also then if you know what you are doing both engines can be adjusted.

Ok, yes, thank you for your answer. I downloaded other page the Storebox one, because i was having trouble with shop & buy. Now the shopping card is really good! I'm customizing my web. One question, how do I do to the logo to look good? I'm graphic designer. I used photoshop to change the logo in the same size of the current logo of the website. The problem is that it doesn't look that sharpened on the edges as the logo in the demo. I resized it using " smart objet" tool, it looked better but not quite well... Do you have any other tip? May be using Illustrator?
By the way I'm from Lima - Perú, so sorry for the orthographic errors or the time. I see there is 6:29 p.m. Here is 12:30 p.m.
