John Template Modules incorrect width

Hello,
I was using the John template and I was able to get the header to be 1400 px following the forum which asked me to include a page class suffix of 101 for the frontpage per the article below.

Now I started adding new modules below and they seem to have the same issue where they are limited to 1000 px.
Is there a setting that I'm missing that is making the modules have a different size?

Nevermind I found the issue. It was in the template css. It had the max width set to 1000 instead of 1400.
