News show pro gk5 not showing latest featured articles

Hello,
I've just started using the News show pro gk5 module and I must say it's great. However, I cannot manage to show the latest featured article. How can I do it? I attach a couple of screenshots with the configuration. Also, it is not showing any thumbnail even if there are images and I have configured it to do so. Finally, how can I arrange the module to show 2 upper rows with 3 columns and 2 lower rows with only 1 column?

Are you sure? I'm asking because your back-end looks like very old version - on the v.1.6.1 the tabs are on the left side and content of the tabs on the right side.

For me the module displays articles without problems - I've only reconfigured the source for images - now the module uses the first article image from the fulltext.
