Home Button Has Suddenly Vanished After Joomla Update

Hello,

After updating to Joomla 3.6.2, the home button on the main menu has vanished.

The next menu item in the same Menu has become the "Home Page Default".

How can I add back the Home button again ?

After updating to Joomla 3.6.2, the home page was redirecting indefinitely as their was no "Home Page" menu item. The "Home Page" menu item just vanished after the update.

So in order to partly restore the website, I changed another menu item (lets call it John) to "Home -Default".

As a result the home page is still no where to be seen, while the new article (John) has become the home page.

I have also tried to add a new menu item with internal link type but it does not have an option to mark it as home default.

How can I bring back the home button to my Gavick Villa Bellucci Joomal Hotel Template ?

It's really hard to help here since I'm not able to see this problem. What type of the componetn was attached to menu item? I've seen a problem of disappearing elements while K2 was used. Unfortunately as far as I know there is no fix to that and the only way to bring back menu item is by manually recreate it.
