Spam User Registrations

Hi
I am getting spam user registrations despite not even having a link to sign-up as a user!
How is this combatable?
How do they get access?

Hi

Bots knows a link to registration in joomla. The only way to stop it is to add recaptcha or disable registration at all in user manager options.
