Problem with Contact form - cannot receive emails

Good Evening,
I have noticed that some days the contact form not working. I can not receive more email.
Recently, I put in a string with a checkbox for the acceptance of privacy... I would not like that was the cause.

Why does a user have to input my email address in the "Email field"? Can I change this to auto populate?

Sorry, but I don't understand, user may add own email address, not yours, could you provide more details?
