Joomla vs Wordpress Margins

A professionally designed template for photographers and architects

Just comparing the new Wordpress version of this theme, I notice that the Wordpress version looks much better in a number of ways all related to margins. The logo, menu, post images are all moved more to the left. This isn't a browser issue because I see the changes reflected in the promo images you've used for each template.

These small differences make a big difference visually - I presume this was a conscious decision on the part of your designers - do you plan to update the joomla template to include the improved CSS? Alternatively could you share the updates?

Many thanks

Hi

Can You please tell me the url to pages You have in mind ? I think there are 2 grid views, so if You are talking about portfolio it's possible You are not comparing same styles.

Thanks for your reply Teitbite,

The URLs to compare are:
http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/photo/i ... 83-hopstop
http://www.gavick.com/demo/wordpress/photo/?p=93

I think the issue occurs at larger resolutions only on the Joomla template which resets margins to 10px. The Wordpress theme adapts very well to larger resolutions. I've tried to show what I mean in the attached graphic.

Thanks again for your help. - David

Hi,

I've compared your URLs and unfortunately can't see these differencies. (I've checked Chrome browser @ 1920 x 1200 px) and on exactly this resolution, margins are the same. Anyway if you want to increase these margin a little, try to change your Template width (Layout tab in template manager) from 1900px to 1850px.
