How to remove BuddyPress from the theme?

Hello,

I am trying to setup the theme for a small college. The BuddyPress functionality is however not needed. How can I remove it?

I deleted the BuddyPress plugin which resulted in a blank page.

Please check what kind of errors do you have in your errorlog file.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_is_activity_component() in ....../wp-content/themes/University/gavern/helpers/helpers.layout.php(799) : runtime-created function on line 1

This is the error that I get wen I deactivate BuddyPress.
I have prevented CSS and JS files of BuddyPress from loading. BuddyPress exists only in the admin panel now.
But links like
domain.name/members still exist.

Hello,

You have to remove all widgets connected with buddypress, also all widgets which are using widget rules connected with buddypress pages, then you can deactivate rtMedia and BuddyPress plugins.
