Hi,
i have upgrade joomla from 3.3.3 to 3.4.0 version, and the News Show Pro GK5 module dont work.
On frontend display an error: 1066
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DESC LIMIT 0,3' at line 21 SQL=SELECT content.id AS id FROM saviola_k2_items AS content WHERE content.published = 1 AND content.trash = 0 AND content.access IN (1,1,2,3) AND ( content.publish_up = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR content.publish_up <= '2015-02-25 10:24:31' ) AND ( content.publish_down = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR content.publish_down >= '2015-02-25 10:24:31' ) AND ( content.catid = 26 ) AND content.language in ('it-IT','*') ORDER BY content. DESC LIMIT 0,3;

And on backend the module have change the parameters.
I saw that this problem also happened to other users.
Thanks for support
Fabio

Hello,

Did you upgraded the module to the newest version (v.1.8.0.6)?

Please try to redownload the package - I've discovered that the v.1.8.0.6 package was only in the automatic update location, not in the main download.

@cichetti1 - you have to resave the module settings - please make sure that:

1) the ordering option under the data source tab is set properly.
2) you have refreshed the browser cache and the module back-end looks correctly

I did everything but the problem remains ... The module continues to disrupt the entire site and the error 1064 is ...
You try to update the version of joomla 3.4, correct any data within the module newsprogk5 and you will notice the same problem ...
I try to have installed the template Game ... and there is the same error ...
Please try, because all that will do the upgrade will have this problem ...

There is at least few topics, where people follow my tips and there is no more problems, so you are doing something wrong.

HI, don't undestand why all is working now.
I have upgraded all languages (IT-EN-DE-FR).
The only thing i noticed is that before the NSP modules where all expanded on the left side menu.
See this post https://www.gavick.com/forums/255/problem-with-joomla-3-4-0-43852?p=219313&hilit=error%201064#p219313.
Hope this info is usefull to someone.
Thanks

I installed the new Version. After reloading the backend with CTRL + F5 and resaved the module, now it works!
