loading time header is way to long

Hi,

Since the last update I installed I found out that the header loading time is really long.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm losing visitors because of the long loading time.

I figured out it had noting to do with the background movie because when I change that to just images (like the demo on this website) there is no difference in loading time.

Who can help me?

Try to edit StoreFront/js/gk.scripts.js file and change the line (350):

Code: Select all

}, 400);


and decrease the value.
Try also decrease the value from line 445

I changed it to 50 and 100 but nothing changes.
The funny thing is that the first time the page is loading it takes a really long time to load the header.
The second and so on time you visit the website its fast.

Hopefully there is another way.

Yes, the first time is usually longer, because next time most elements (images, movie etc.) are cached by your browser.
