Help in regards to customization

Hello,

We are customizing your wonderful WordPress theme 'John', We are almost there but we need your assistance in regards to a few issues I am posting below.

For a better understanding, kindly view this image http://imgur.com/2Wvk55v.

1. We are unable to change this logo. I am aware that you provied an option
in the dashboard under John=>Theme branding. I tried uploading the logo
but when I click save, the save button does not work, it does not retain the changes.

2. Can you please let us know how we can change the items
in the drop down. We are unable to find where these items
are being called from.

3. When these slides are changing, there is the logo
visible beneth the slides, how can we hide it.

4. We need to hide the all and make the Nos Solution default, we do not want any filters here. Can you please
let us know how and in which file we can hide the word ‘ALL’

5. When one of the blocks is clicked, this view popos up. In this view. We would like to hide the
fields striked out and e would like to replace that with just a block of text. Kindly let us know if this is
posible and how.

6. Where do we add the image of the Map on this page

Kindly do not divert us to any documentation as we have tried our best. Your elaborate and speedy response in exact relevance to each point would be much appreciated.

Hello,

Regarding your questions:

1. It's connected with WordPress 4.0 update, pelase apply this fix

or wait for themes update (will be availalbe today or tomorrow)

2. Please check appearance - Menus - it's part of the Frontpage Mainmenu, Blog menu item has addditional class "button" which adds blue background, and submenu items of this Blog item creates dropdown menu.

3. Add this code into John/css/override.css file (first please enable this override option from Template Option -> Advanced tab):

#gk-header #gk-logo {
   display: none;
}



4, 5 - generaly, it's custom work beyond our technical support

6. In bottom V widget area there's a text widget with this fragment:

<div class="gk-map" data-src="[pageurl]/wp-content/themes/John/images/demo/map.jpg">

change the path to your own image or replace map.jpg file from John/images/demo directory.

Hello,

Thank you for your assistance, I will apply your suggestions for 1,2,3 and 6. Is it possible you could direct us in the right direction for points 4&5, we do not require you to do the changes for us, we just need to know where to make these changes.

The entire website is in French and it would make it look unprofessional to have small pits and parts in English. Kindly assist.

Hello,

So you only want to only translate this elements? No problem you'll have to translate GK News Show Pro plugin, language file is available in wp-content/plugins/gk-nsp/languages directory. This "all" label may be found in the gk-nsp/article_wrappers/portfolio/portfolio.php file (around line 47). All changes for this portfolio may be added in gk-nsp/article_wrappers/portfolio/ directory.

Hello,

Thank you for your tremendous support. We were able to fix everything as you suggested. I have one last question I need a solution to. When the button "Blog" is clicked from the home page, it redirects to http://glidy.com/wecun/?cat=173 for some reason and shows a blank page, however, we want it to redirect the user to http://glidy.com/wecun/?author=1

We managed to change this in one menu but the other menu does not have an option to take a URL, can you please suggest a solution.

Hi,

I'm sorry for the delay, but generally we don't work on the forum at the weekend.

You should specify the URL in the Menu (please remember that John theme has 2 main menus - for the frontpage and for the subpages). You should edit the frontpage menu, if there's no option to edit this "Blog" menu item, please remove it and add another menu item with custom URL.

If you'll have problem with that, please send me a PM with backend access to your website, then I'll be able to help you with that.
