Stars/Rating on Showcase News Show Pro

On the home page of this theme... http://www.gavick.com/demo/wordpress/game/ where you have the Latest Stories and New Games News Show Pro... How do I get it so the custom field Stars/Ratings in there next to or under the date or even above the text... I put {STARS} next to the {DATE} in the Info Block but the stars doesn't show up. I do have the custom field setup in the Template's settings. The actual post is done right in the custom fields as I can get the stars to show up in other NEWS SHOWS Pro... it looks like perhaps that showcase article format and css styling is hardcoded with just how it shows... anyway to get the stars/rating on it? I used the quickstart package on my server... pretty straightforward issue - just trying to get the rating/stars on that Style of Newsshow pro. Thanks

You dont need all of that... yes, I did do the quickstart package... like I said, I did add gk-nsp-rate and did everything else to make it work... it is real simple... I just need to know the settings so I can see the ratings/stars in those tabbed items... adding {STARS} to the info block doesn't work. It should be just a setting... I gave all the info you need... there is nothing broken - it's just a setting. If you look at your own quickstart... or demo - no matter what tags you put in the info block... it just shows the date and a snippet of the content and title... why is that... and how do we change that. Just to say it again as I am not sure if you fully read my post... it's where it says LATEST STORIES and the NEW GAMES tab.

Please check your Latest Stories News Show Pro Settings -> Article tab. As an article format - showcase is used - it's article format created especially for the Game theme, so other options from info block are omitted. You'll have to edit NSP plugin files to add the stars, unfortunately this kind of cutomization is beyond our technical support.

Just point me in the right direction and I can go ahead and do that... it is a bit misleading as the documentation for the template says ratings can be used everywhere... not trying to be rude as I love the work you guys do but just saying. Anyways - point me in the right direction and I can code it myself. Thanks.

You can also change showcase article format to default and stars will work properly, but I've added small improvement:

add it into your NSP plugin and then you can use {STARS} tag in gk-nsp/article_formats/showcase.format. (instead of date or use another span tag with rating).

Stars not showing up on my wordpress template either.

Could you provide an URL to your website (here or via PM) and give me more details? Are you using the quickstart package? Where exactly stars are not visible?

In the rating example provided by you in the link above, the rating is displayed as a number, - can the stars be shown instead on the post?

Unfortunately it's not possible, because it's custom field form the post, stars are available only in News Show Pro widget.
