What code should be used to have the slide link to a post?

I am testing this theme for a client on a localhost.

It would seem that the image links do not work.

From your documentation:
1. The “Caption” is used to store the slide title.

2. The “Alternate Text” is used to store the slide URL – where the slide is linking

3. The “Description” is used to generate slide subtitle

Can you document further just what code/info/page id/permalink should be used to have the slide link to a post or a page?

Hi,

The “Alternate Text” is used to store the slide URL – where the slide is linking, so it can be any URL what you want (if you want link to post, use post permalink, page - use full page URL -with page ID etc..)
So that you are not restricted to use only posts or pages.

In our quickstart package was used example #3 URL and it's working properly..

Does WORDPRESS use the alternate text box of the image in the media library? There is no option under the widget area to enter any info about the URL link.

In the wordpress quickstart package for Shop and Buy "out of the box" the link is not working. Getting 404 error page.

Yes, wordpress use the alternate text, but in this case alt atribute for images is taken from the caption (you can check HTML source of the site). What info about the URL you mean?

"out of the box" you mean Free shipping? it's example text widget from Bottom I position, you can always add link tag or others elements to this widget.
