How to create a homepage like the Live Demo?

I installed the MyFolio theme in my blog. It has a lot of Posts set up in different Categories. How do I make it appear like the Live Demo page here: http://www.gavick.com/demo/wordpress/myfolio/

If you can't install the quickstart package (exactly demo website), you have to configure theme manually, following this configuration page:
