Not at the moment, but it will have K2 support.
At this time, we can't say when.

Here is another vote for this. Lots of folks moving their content to K2 (and other CCK's).

I see that the GK4 version of Highlighter supports K2, but it's not on the J1.5 extension download page. Does this only work with J1.6?

Thanks,

Greg.

In this beta test thread from a while back it mentions k2 support, but that maybe that didn't make it into the final release?

Hi

Highlighter GK4 is only available for J!1.6 and it will have K2 support... but this will only be possible when K2 component is release under Joomla!1.6. ;)

The differences between J1.5 and J1.6 are driving all developers crazy. Those of us that need components that are only available under 1.5 are stuck when we need products that are only available under 1.6.

The change from 1.0 to 1.5 wasn't so bad because of the legacy plugin.

Here is another vote that the highlighter will be available for K2 under J1.5.

Yeah, the whole 1.5-1.6 transition has been a big cockup, AFAIC.

As a webmaster for live web sites, I can't see myself ever using 1.6. Isn't 1.7 coming out later this year? And I need to give that version space to debug and become stable plus supported with enough extensions to make it worthwhile.

I see myself using J!1.5 on NEW sites for at least another year, until version 1.7 becomes a viable option. Obviously, this is just my personal preference. I'm a proud late adopter! But I wouldn't be surprised if many others are the same, so I think Gavick will find there is a big market for continued development of 1.5 compatible extensions for some time to come.

I'd actually be curious about the usage stats for 1.6-only extensions. I have no idea how widely it is used on actual production sites.
