Highlighter does not display last dated article

Hi there,
I have the following settings( look at photo) and the highlighter starts displaying articles from the one before last. (date desc). The last article is not displayed until another one, newer is created.
What am I doing wrong here?
I tried to put 1 instead of 0 at the start position and then the last 2 articles are excluded.

Drives me crazy here!!!

Any ideas???
