DOCman Intergration

OK firstly fantastic module, exactly what i need for several sites.

But what i am after now may or not be possible.

Im looking to modify the gavik pro Highlighter code so that it will pick up and link to DOCman uploads and scroll across the latest vouchers that have been listed.

So instead of scrolling article titles, i want to scroll DOCman file Titles.

To make matters even more complicated, i only want to scroll the latest uploaded files to a specific catergory within DOCman.

Ive looked at the codes of both mod_gk_news_highlighter and mod_docman_catdown but cant seem to locate the code that retrives the data.

Any thoughts?

Maybe with the future evolutions of this and other gavick extensions.

Im happy to create the module myself, just need a bit of advice on how to configure it - would rather work with you guys than publish it independantly as a JED componant extension plugin.
