parameters of module do not show and Joomla freeze

A question from a newbie, help highly appreciated!

I have downloaded the news highlighter GK1 and installed it in a fresh installation of Joomla 1.5.9
The intallation completes ok but than when I try to edit the module after I click it in the modules menu it opens the details box (which responds) but everything else freezes. (See attached pic) The rest of the screen is white. The other parameters do not show and the browser (both IE and FF) freezes and I have to close it.
This is on the localhost as I have not yet uploaded the site.
As it is a fresh intallation it should not conflict with anything.
In the recommended settings for the Joomla installation file upload is left on and everything else is off. (register globals..etc.)
Does anyone have an idea what can I do to get the module to work?

Please try remove description text (it is probably first item) from language file.

thank you for your quick reply.
I am unclear which file to remove. I checked the language directory in the Joomla 1.5.9
which has three subdirectories: 1.en-GB 2.pdf_fonts 3.index.html
I checked the files in the en-GB directory. They are the following:

Can you please clarify which file to remove?

Hi,
Please I need your help too.
I have deleted that description line and also tried by deleing completely the file
but the problem persist.
The module just dont show the parameters and freeze.

Please help.
