Comments appear on Post while I've disabled it in the CMS

Hi,

These parameters are for comments next to title (amount of comments).
If you want to disable comment form, please select "Screen options" in your top right corner, select "Discussion" and now underneath you post'content you should see checkbox to enable/disable comments.

Hi where should I do this? Screen options are different depending where you are... When I see All posts, I do see Discussion checkbox but nothing happens...

Please do it on the post/page where you want to disable comments. Global option for all NEW pages/posts may be found in Dahsboard -> Settings -> Discussion tab.

I'd like a global setting to prevent any comments to any posts or pages. Have tried it in Settings / Discussion but comments still appear... Did I forget ticking / unticking certain box?

Please check this global setting again:

"Allow people to post comments on NEW articles
(These settings may be overridden for individual articles.)"

so the only solution for existing posts/pages is in my previous posts.

you can also use some plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-comments/

Thanks. Installed Plugin and now all comments gone!
