Hi,

You have to disable Widgets Display on Homepage option.
(Dashboard -> Simplicity -> Template Options -> Basic Tab)

I will provide more details.

I want to show blog entries at the http://gulyver.com/blog/
However when I enter, I see the same content than on the main page.

I always create a "blog" page, and then I go to (Settings-Read) and I select there an empty "blog" page to show entries.

I found this answer in the forum:
<<you can create two instances of the template and then assign one instance to the frontpage and second one to the subpages - then you can select different menus for these instances. >>

Could this be the cause and possibly fix it? How?

I think it's a problem with widget rules. You didn't install a quickstart package, so you have to set widgets manually.

Check widgets from Header, mainbody and bottom I to IV positions (you have to display these widgets only on homepage)

check widget rules feature:

I reinstalled again with Quickstar. But the blog link has the following link http://gulyver.com/category/staff-picks/. You can create a category called blog? and this is the category of the posts. Without that nothing unconfigure

I don't understand where exactly the problem is. You can create category "blog" or change "URL" from menu item ( Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus).

In this theme we are using specyfied category as a blog, it's normal.

Hello, I had a similar "problem"

1) Widgets Display on Homepage is set to Enabled (as default with Quickstart install)
2) Front page displays is set to Your latest posts (as default with Quickstart install)
3) Common Settings Permalinks is set to Custom /%category%/%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/
4) Installed FV Top Level Categories and set it to show only the first level
5) Installed WPML with languages based on /directories/ ( example /es/ for spanish, /it/ for italian)
6) Created a category called news and it's equivalent blog for spanish.

What also works:

3) Common Settings Permalinks is set to Month and Day
4) Installed FV Top Level Categories and no settings since %category% is not used in permalinks.

Examples:

http://www.hotelrsv.com/es/blog

Hope it helps.

Hello,

The problem is that Template Settings are not visible? where is the main problem? Could you send me a PM with backend access to your website?
