Hello,

I'm having a hard time configure the theme.

I set the front page under settings >> reading as a page using the "Latest Posts" template.

Sidebars, widgets, etc don't show on the side - they show up on the bottom.

Site is http://www.strategydefined.com for reference

Thanks
N

Hi,

Your problem is caused by the CSS code minifier which doesn't use the media queries used in the template link attributes. It causes that the template is displayed as on the mobile device on all devices also on the desktops.

Thanks dziudek - turning off minification fixed the problem.

Another issue - http://strategydefined.com/the-nonsense-math-effect/ - on the bottom of this post, I'm seeing some code that's not on the other posts. Any idea why?

Please disable totally the Custom Post Fields in the theme settings, or blacklist the specific fields - then these fields will disappear.

Thanks for your help. Still have a few more questions:

- http://strategydefined.com/page/2/ - I got to this page by clicking on older posts on the homepage. When I click "older posts" again, the same page refreshes. How can I get this to paginate properly?

- What's the best way to replicate the sidebar on the Magazine theme demo?

Sorry, but I don't see the "older posts" link on this page and on your homepage :/ I've skiped something?

You have to just specify in the theme settings the Mail and RSS links, enable the style switcher (if you need) in the theme settings, and put the GK Social Icons widget on the Social widget area. Then you will replicate the demo sidebar completely.

Hi dziudek,

Check again when you get a chance. I updated blog settings to allow for pagination.

Sorry for the confusion - when I said sidebar I meant the one on the right. No help necessary now though I think I configured most of it. My main concern is the "older posts" issue

OK, now I see it.

Few questions:

* why you didn't used the normal WordPress output for the frontpage with latest posts instead of the latest posts template?

* the problem still appears when you disable the SEF urls?

I used the template because no posts were showing using the "latest posts" method.

I can send you wp-admin info to my site so you can have a look around. Let me know if that's okay.

Problem solved :) I've disabled option "Widgets Display on Homepage" in the theme Basic settings and the latests posts appeared - pagination is also working fine now :)
