I´ve read the pdf manual and all topics in the forum about setting up this module, but I have not been able to make things work.
In this post: http://www.gavick.com/forum/71-gk-weath ... ation.html
I´ve been able to locate my city, but I do not understand what should I do next. I also changed permissions as suggested on manual to 777 to cache directory and file mod_gk_weather.xml, but still, receive this error on my front end: "An error occurred - you set wrong location or data for your location are unavailable "

This is the result of a goggle search for my city, Montevideo
http://www.google.com/search?source=ig& ... D&aq=f&oq=

Any chance someone gives clear directions for an absolute newbie?.
Coordinates for Montevideo are supposed to be:
latitude: -56.1860132217
longitude: -34.9068474770

Local time: -3 GMT (I do not know exactly should I put in Timezone field, and the manual is not quite clear).
Here is an image of my settings. I am sure I am doing something wrong. Thanks in advance.

Hi

You are making it wrong. Location is the name of your city.
So, you must set:

Location=Montevideo
Name=Montevideo

Thanks a lot!, I cannot believe how silly I am!. Now it works like a charm.
Next thing is to make this module to show up in Spanish, so I tried putting es-ES in the language field and it did not work. After that, I downloaded the en_EN .ini file in the language folder of my joomla directory and I did not find the part that goes in the front-end, idem with the helper.php in the module directory; so at this point I know I cannot solve it alone.
If someone points me in the right direction, I can translate the module in order to let it also at disposal to Spanish speakers here in the forum.
Thanks in advance. :blush:

If you want frontend translation, please set "es" on language module parameter.

Was the only thing I did not try, sorry. I assumed that there was no support for Spanish, thanks a lot for your patience.
This topic is solved.

On frontend, the support language is provided by Google Weather API ;)
