Layout change in "Featured News" Section

Hi,

I'm using the "Magazin"-Template (http://www.moerike-gymnasium.de).
I've a K2-Category for the contents in the mainbody-Top-Section with the title "Neuigkeiten".
Now, I'd like to have on top of this section the "Featured"-Articles of this category with basically the same layout, but only in one column instead of two.
And if there's no "featured"-Artikel in the category, that Website should appears as it is now.
Do you have any idea how to achieve this?

Try make a copy of this module and in its setting change it to show 1 column only.
