modules not showing up

I'm configuring the newstemplate for my site, and the problem is that the searchbox and social icons aren't showing. Of course I've checked for published and modulepositions.
I've used "search" and "social" like the documentation.
Any idea on how to make them show?

Funny thing is that it ís showing up at the page that has the old template

I found out that there has to be a module in the topmenu position for the modules in search and social to show. I fixed it with a blank image in "topmenu" through a custom html module.
