I have 2 problems that I need help with. The first is dealing with speaker photos. On our site which is http://www.steppin4life.org, we have this as the instructors which you can get to by clicking on any instructor on the home page. The person I created the site for uses Internet Explorer and wants for the pics to either show oval shape like in the template or now show the orange and white background at all.

The other issue is he likes to promote his page on Facebook, however when the url is posted on facebook, there is no description or photo for the main page, yet other pages do have photos.

no desc.png

description and photo.png

I have come to the conclusion this happens because there is no real "home" page, but a page made of modules. How can I get to place a description and photos on the page and have them hidden so not to affect the actual site?

Hi,

I recommend you to add one featured image in the Joomla! com_content component with some image which will be used on the Facebook - then the image and the article content will be displayed when you put the link to your website. You can also check your page after changes with this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

Sorry but achieving border-radius in IE < 9 is impossible, even with the *.htc files.

If this is the case how can I make the pictures look presentable?

If you want to remove the rounded bg, please set background-image to none for the following selectors:

Code: Select all
.nspMainPortalMode6 .nspSpeakerBig

and

Code: Select all
.nspMainPortalMode6 .nspSpeakerSmall

in the ie8.css.

The com_content is placed in the back-end in the menu "Content".
