Database issue - Error establishing a database connection

Hi, I just downloaded and install a quick start package on my site http://www.dgtalvalley.com but it face and error as you can see on the URL mentioned,

I did change everything to match db name, password and so on but still error. And when try to create a sub folder and install a normal WP it works as you can see here http://dgtalvalley.com/test/wordpress/

I'm not sure what happen. Please kindly advise.

Hi, My database problem is not solved so I design to create the new database and it's done http://www.dgtalvalley.com

But another problem is come up when I try to adjust the widget area in Appearance there is no widget for me but instead of show the below text

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_list_widgets() in /home/tuey/domains/dgtalvalley.com/public_html/wp-admin/widgets.php on line 340

I'm not sure what is wrong again ?

Hello again.

This could be similar problem with server settings with access to file as you had before.
But in details is hard to me say why. You have errors that almost nobody have here before.

Please change default theme from GK to default for example twenty twelve and check again - if error is still there.

p.s.
Could you use also different server ? Ask your friends maybe somebody could borrow you access for a week, than you will see "no errors" - just working WP.
