width imageshow total page

I use template steakhouse and want to have a ful lsize width image show in homepage on top.
Actually & preferably same as in university template (with top menu in right top corner and the invisible wrapper)

Problem is, whatever I do (Interface set to 1720 x 896) , tried override advise by teibite in post:

But whatever i tried (also cleaned cache) - it does not change?
Any advise?

Actually - it was described in provided article:
Please edit: /templates/gk_steakhouse/css/override.css and add at its end:

}


Remember to enable "CSS override" in template settings - advanced section.
