Hello!

The "Your Slides" in module backend are gone, but still shown in the frontend.

I'm having the same problem here.
Did all of the steps mentioned above and still can't add slides.

I do see the #add being added to the url but it seems to be ignored (ajax error?)

I had to ask more advanced developer for help.
It looks like strange server configuration must have messed up with module data, as it is still present in a custom "hidden" field, but it is damaged.
1. Please check if magic_quotes are still off on your server
2. Delete the module and install it over again.

It should help.

Also using Advanced Module Manager might interrupt with our scripts making them not work.

1. Yes magic_quotes is still off on the server
2. I deleted and reinstalled the modul
3. Without using Advanced module manager

It is still the same, no slides at all and no way to edit a new one!?

Please try disabling any 3rd party extensions one by one. You have an JS error in the console:
Code: Select all
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'addEvent' of undefined

that is blocking our Js from working correctly.
You can check it by viewing site in Chrome and opening developer tools -> console. If the error dissapears - our module should work fine again.

What does this error "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'addEvent' of undefined" means which comes from script.js (loaded with the module)?

I have done a quickstart installation (different server) and update the module Image Show GK4 to 1.44 and the sliders also disappear, now with a different error:

"Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'destroy' of null" (script.js)

Please check this at your side and come back

Have you used quickstart downloaded from our site now, or some older quickstart package?

What does this matter in case of my issue?

A lot because I need to figure out if there is an issue with update system or something else. So on the other server as you have written - have you started with newest quickstart or some old one?
