Sudden Problem with GK3 PhotoSlide

Hello,

I am using the Black & White theme on 1.5 website. It has been working fine for two years, and the front page has a GK3 PhotoSlide show that has worked wonderfully.

Suddenly we noticed the slide show is not working at all. We have rebuilt it, configured it different, put it back to the same but continue to get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in /home/proradon/public_html/libraries/joomla/utilities/simplexml.php(305) : eval()'d code on line 1

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or '{' or '$' in /home/proradon/public_html/libraries/joomla/utilities/simplexml.php(335) : eval()'d code on line 1

Is this a known problem and does anyone have any suggestions as to how to correct this? This customer is not wanting to migrate to 2.5 just yet due to business activities.
